Two talks on digital methods for classical texts: multi-agent collaboration in collation, and Mohism studies in the age of artificial intelligence.

This workshop brings together two talks on digital methods in the study of classical texts.

Topic 1: Technical Approaches and Functional Boundaries of Multi-Agent Collaboration in the Collation and Study of Ancient Texts
Prof. Zeng Jianhua (Associate Professor, Yangzhou University)

The talk examines the application of multi-agent technologies to the collation and study of ancient texts. It outlines the main technical approaches and implementation methods, analyses the scope and boundaries within which multi-agent collaboration can be effective, and reflects on the relationship between AI methods and traditional paradigms of textual scholarship, exploring how the two can complement and reinforce each other.

Topic 2: Mohism Studies and Academic Resources in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
Prof. Huang Jiaofeng (Associate Professor, Beijing Normal–Hong Kong Baptist University)

The talk explores the possibilities and challenges that artificial intelligence brings to Mohism studies. It discusses how the development, integration and use of academic resources shape the way Mohism research advances, and considers how the growing prevalence of intelligent technologies may bring changes and new directions in methodology, materials and research questions.

The workshop is held in Mandarin and organised by the Division of Humanities.
